A free resource hub built by students, for students. No therapist required to start - just honest tools, real information, and a community that gets it.
Student Mind Space goes live as a student-built wellness resource within WPS. Maya develops the MeantHill Mental Health Assessment - a 0–50 scoring tool routing students to one of four personalized wellness levels, each with curated resources across five categories. The platform is introduced to students and faculty at the school level.
The platform grows beyond WPS to reach students across the local community. Word spreads through peer networks, tutoring connections, and community programs. The resource library deepens and the MeantHill assessment is refined based on real student feedback.
The platform goes fully public at studentmindspace.me. Students from schools across the country begin accessing the interactive quiz, resource library, crisis hotlines, and community blog. Media interest develops. Always free - always student-first.
500+ students reached. Blog content expanding. Mentor guidance integrated. Orlando Business Journal coverage in development. The platform continues to grow on a foundation built by one student who saw a gap and decided to fill it.

Student Mind Space wasn't built in a boardroom or a lab. It started with an observation: students all around - in IB classes, in dance studios, in tutoring sessions - were carrying real mental weight, often silently, and often without any structured place to go.
As a student balancing a full IB curriculum, competitive dance, and running a tutoring program, Maya had a front-row seat to how academic pressure compounds emotional strain. She noticed the same thing whether she was helping a student prepare for the SATs or watching a teammate push through exhaustion at rehearsal: the resources that existed weren't built for students, by students.
So she built one. Student Mind Space is a free, community-first platform - not a therapy service, not a brand, but a space where real tools live alongside honest conversation about what student life actually feels like.
The MeantHill Assessment grew out of psychology coursework and direct observation. The resource library was curated the way a friend would curate it: practically, honestly, without pretense. Every link works. Every crisis number is real.
This platform belongs to the community it serves.
"The MeantHill quiz was the first time I felt like something actually matched where I was at. Level C hit differently - the resources felt like someone had actually been there."
"I found this during college app season. The 'College Prep Pressure' section felt like it was written for exactly what I was going through. Bookmarked it immediately."
"The sleep section alone changed my week. I'd been getting 5 hours and wondering why I couldn't focus. The tools here are simple and they actually work."
"I shared it with my whole friend group. It feels real - not like something a school counselor was told to post. Knowing another student built this makes a difference."
